This is a matted French chromolithograph that dates to c1900. It features French designs for XVII and XVII centuries’ ornamental patterns used in wall panels, tapestries, and decorative objects. These are classic and iconic traditional French patterns. These images are very difficult to find in clean condition with no age markings or discoloration. Purchased by us in France. This image is immaculately pristine. Please note that the gold coloring in the designs are done in metallic gold ink (difficult to see in my picture scans). Metallic inks were used in lithography in the early years of the 1900s and were rare and specific to this period. 8 x 12 inches in size. See companion lithograph offered in our shop.
