A finely executed abstract organic drawing conceived as an ornamental composition in strong, harmonious colors. Created in colored pencil on paper, signed and dated ‘Fritz Klee, 1955’, and numbered. The work reflects Klee’s mid-century graphic language, combining flowing forms with a carefully balanced sense of rhythm and color. Fritz Klee was a German artist, porcelain designer, and architect, and a long-time professor at the State Porcelain School in Selb. Alongside his influential work in porcelain and architectural design, Klee developed an extensive body of graphic works, in which abstraction and ornament play a central role.
