Genji, The Shining Prince: a 19th Century Woodblock Print by Utagawa Kunisada . This beautifully colored and highly detailed woodblock print depicts a scene from Chapter 27 of the Tale of Genji. The Chapter is known as Kagaribi" or "The Flares." The colors are vibrant in this print and the fabric patterns and faces are beautifully rendered.
