These shapes are accompanied by three red strokes cascading down the right side of the composition with one blue line bellow the largest square near the center. The piece is signed and dated to the lower right and is displayed in a black frame and a white mat. Harry Hilson was an American artist active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
