He was best known for his cityscapes from Amsterdam , Rotterdam and Utrecht . In the 1960s , Nutroma was able to save for a coffee and breakfast service from Villeroy & Boch . Roodenburg's black-and-white drawings of Amsterdam cityscapes were depicted on the service . Roodenburg was a member of prominent artists' associations, such as Arti et Amicitiae and Sint Lucas in Amsterdam and Pulchri Studio in The Hague.
