Oil on canvas. A kneeling Bishop Saint receives Communion from Jesus Christ, descended from Heaven, while an angel holds the Cross and a small cherub holds a devotional candle. The figure of the bishop, which cannot be traced back to a specific figure, may represent the universal Church and its devotion to Christ in participation in the Eucharistic banquet. The painting has been restored and relined in the past. It is presented in a mid-20th-century frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
