On offer is an idyllic, tropical waterside landscape featuring a traditional thatched-roof hut tucked beneath an expansive, dense banyan tree. The unknown artist utilized a rapid, commercial Impressionist style with a heavy reliance on a palette knife to create this decorative work. The painting is set in its original mid-century presentation, complete with a gilded wooden frame and a textured linen/burlap liner insert, which was highly popular for home decor during the 1960s-1970s.
