(image) Handsigned by the artist in pencil Artist proof Annoted "Epreuve artiste" Certificate of authenticity BFK Rives paper Deeply influenced by his childhood in Algeria and by Berber traditions, Jean-Michel Atlan developed a pictorial universe of rare intensity, nourished by African, Pre-Columbian, and Assyrian art. In Le Simoun, the scorching wind from the Orient seems to animate the entire composition: the forms, both abstract and organic, appear to be swept by its breath. The vigorous black line infuses a primal energy, while color softens its impetuosity. The orange background, vibrant and veined like a stormy sky, reveals the pulsing rhythm of the wind and the world it evokes. LCD7610 This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
