About the artist: Jeanne A. Ocker was born in Los Angeles, California in 1922. She painted in oil, acrylic, watercolor and did oriental brush. She studied with artists Frank Myers, George Post, Robert E. Wood and Bud Shackelford. Ocker exhibited throughout the Monterey Peninsula and Central California, including: The Santa Cruz Art League (Statewide Competition); Monterey County Fair; Pacific Grove Annual Watercolor Exhibition; San Francisco Hall of Flowers; and the Religious Art Show at U.S. Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA. She has had one-man shows at Seaside City Hall Art Gallery and the Carmel Foundation. She has been an award winner in the Watercolor Show at the Monterey County Fair. The colorful work of Jeanne Ocker is held in numerous collections in California.
