Beautiful charming mid century era watercolor by Vivian Chevillon depicting a group of very picturesque tall and slender houses. Painting is nicely framed with a linen liner (window mat). Signed and dated 1962 on the bottom left corner of the painting. Additional handwriting on the opposite corner but difficult to read. Vivian Chevillon (1923-2005) was an American artist and painter born in Vancouver, British Columbia. She specialized in watercolor and her works are hung in public, private, corporate and museum collections in the US, Canada, Ireland, France, Sweden, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. Chevillon taught art at the DuPage Art League for more than 30 years and was a member of the Midwest Watercolor Society and associate member of the National Watercolor Society and St. Louis Artist' Guild.
