A very pleasing small abstract painting by Reginald Sidney Weston (1909-1967). Oil on canvas board, recently framed. 1950's - 1960's In excellent condition. Born in London, "Reggie" Weston grew up in Egypt. Post studying art in Paris he moved and staged his first show in Jerusalem. Where he taught art until returning to France. Instantly renowned post selling two thirds of works at his premiere Paris show at Dana Vierny in 1949. Subsequently exhibiting in 17 shows in Paris, London, Brussels, Philadelphia, New York, and Tel-Aviv. His work included the collections of major Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, and New York museums. Along with the private collections of among others - Baron Elie de Rothschild and Isaac Stern (violinist). Post his premature death in 1967 his work have been shown in Sydney, France, and Saint Tropez.
