Original 1932 Chéruit Fashion Pochoir "Très Parisien" No. 9, Plate 6 Matted 11" X 14"

Chairish

$108

An elegant original 1932 Art Deco fashion plate from the famed French journal Très Parisien. This is an authentic pochoir, a hand-stenciled artwork created with layers of watercolor and gouache. This piece features designs from Créations Chéruit, the historic Parisian couture house known for its sophisticated and feminine tailoring. Plate No. 6 illustrates two striking ensembles. On the left and right, a black wool dress featuring a side-buttoned bodice that forms a basque over the skirt, cinched with a large metal buckle. The center figure wears a "Crêpe Cabossol" gown in a rich terracotta, featuring a supple draped neckline and flared sleeves that gather elegantly at the wrist. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The hand-applied colors remain vibrant and crisp. The paper shows a beautiful, even age-toning consistent with its 1932 origin. Presented in a new archival 11" x 14" double black and silver foil mat.
