This captivating vintage signed impressionist oil on canvas by the listed artist Marthe van Deryken (Dutch, 1892-1981) came out of an upscale estate in Cincinnati. it depicts a nude couple in a pastoral setting with a waterfall with a fawn and doe drinking from the stream. very well drawn and composed, with thick, luxurious brush strokes. The image is rendered with a palette of burnt sienna, various shades of green and cerulean blue. Signed to the lower left. Housed in an ornate gold tone frame with a liner and fillet.
