Lovely vintage painting of a thatched hut, probably in the Chilean Andes where Benito Ramos Catalan was from. Please be aware that this is not signed on the front like most of his paintings. Someone wrote “by Ramos Catalan 1931” on the back. The style looks identical to his own; my guess is it’s one of his earliest works, before he was in the habit of signing them all in a similar fashion. I can’t guarantee this though, as it is not authenticated. Beautiful piece of work in any case.
