This Richard Lindner rare vintage 1980 lithograph print Pop Art exhibition poster " Telephone " 1966, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The Pop Art poster print is published by Motif Editions London, printed in England by Sheval in 1980 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition " The Obsessive Image " at The Institute of Contemporary Arts. It features an artwork image originally created by Lindner in 1966 titled " Telephone ". Richard Lindner ( 1901 - 1978 ) was a German born American painter of Jewish descent. His Avant - Garde Pop Art style images used the sexual symbolism of advertising and investigated definitions of gender roles in the media. In the oeuvre he created of urban energy and eroticism the self styled heroes and heroines of the unruly 1960's and 1970's, his unusually individual Pop Art vibrant pieces stand on their own as highly regraded creative and expressive genuinely unique artworks. The rare out of print Pop Art exhibition poster measures 20" W X 24" H. It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling and light wear. It has never been framed. There is some visible surface wear from age in the lower right bottom corner area, and a few very small minor edge tears in the margin border area that have been repaired from the reverse back side with transparent archival tape.
