Vintage portrait painting of Pope Paul VI on wood. This beautiful piece depicts a small portrait of Pope Paul VI. This painting is one wood and unframed. Pope Paul VI wears a white robe and white hat and buttons down the front of his robe, and chain necklace. (assumably a cross necklace, although it is not visible in the painting.) The signature is located at the bottom left corner. This beautiful piece is painting on wood and would be a fantastic accent to any room. We've recently seen Vintage portraits like this hung in kitchens as well as framed on bookcases, gallery walls of other figural portraits and on tables in gilt frames. Either way, this rare painting of Pope VI would add interest to any room. Pope Paul VI was head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of Vatican City State from June 21, 1963 - to his death in 1978.
