Fine antique Japanese set of 2 silk scroll paintings "Sunrise and Moonrise" by Yamada Keichu (1868-1934). Signed and sealed by the artist. Title: "Sunrise and Moonrise". These scroll paintings come in the original handmade signed wooded case. Watercolor and ink on silk. Beautifully mounted on silk. Bone roller ends. Paper on back. Japan, late Meiji to early Showa Era, c. early 20th c. Very Good condition - some age wear, minor foxing and staining, clean. These scrolls can be trimmed and framed. Each scroll overall (approximately) 16.20"W x 1"D x79.20"H Each painting with silk border: 13.95"W x 53.45"H Each painting without the border: 9.60"W x 44.30"H Wooden Case: 17.10"W x 5"D x 2.8"H Dimensions below are for each scroll.
