Vent Bench

The Vent Bench from Fritz Hansen, named after the Danish word for "wait," was originally designed as seating for leisurely viewing artworks in museums. Handmade in collaboration with a local workshop for the blind and sight-impaired, the series balances form and function. Designed by Danish/Swedish designer Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm, the minimalist Vent Bench features a handwoven paper cord seat on a slender, painted steel frame. Both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, it enhances any space, from public venues to private homes.
