Killie Mehan, an actress with the Wilbur Opera Company, holds a white bird in this antique c. 1890s cabinet photograph portrait. Founded in 1870 by A.C. Wilbur, the Wilbur Opera Company was a successful Victorian era comic theater group. The late 19th-century theatrical publicity photo is in very good condition for its age. The vintage photo shows the detail of the actor's floral and lace costume. There is a handwritten inscription on the back of the vintage cabinet photo: "From Miss Killie Mehan to My First and Only Love Al. Al Laman, Sept. 19 - 97 Wilbur Opera Co." The antique cabinet photograph is mounted on a decorative dark green card embossed with the photo studio's name -- "Marks 207 Center Ave, Bay City, Mich." Approximate Measurements: 9" x 6 3/4"
