Hand colored steel engraved print, the hand coloring appears to more recent. William Henry Bartlett became one of the foremost illustrators of topography of his generation. He came to the United States in 1835 to draw buildings, towns & the local scenery of the Northeastern United States. His work is considered some of the best historic documentation of the period published during the early 19th Century. This piece is a genuine antique print, over 175 years old.
