This vintage 1930s oil painting on canvas board was painted by John Edmund Strandberg, a Swedish-born painter who emigrated to Canada in the 1950s. As the work predates his emigration, it is believed to be a Swedish landscape. Strandberg's studio business card is attached on the back and a notation indicates it was painted in the '30s. Gorgeous landscape of farm or homestead, with barn & cabin. The warm colors of the landscape, accented with yellow light is uniquely compelling!
