He was born in Jacmel in 1925. and spent virtually his entire life on his remote coffee farm. He passed away in Haiti on April 16, 2006, which renders his work very rare, especially his early pieces. He belongs to the second generation of painters of Haiti. His cousin, the late old master of Haitian artist, Castera Bazile inspired him to join the art world. His work is exhibited as part of the Figge Museum of Art's permanent collections in Iowa and the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Connecticut. His early work is very rare.
