Our elegant Canterbury Floor Clock was inspired by the Swedish Mora Clocks and Georgian Grandfather Clocks so popular in the 1800s. This beautiful longcase clock is crafted in Italy of hardwood with richly molded bonnet top and shapely hourglass case. The soft Gustavian blue finish is hand applied in layers by Italian artisans to create the authentic vintage look. Each clockface is individually hand painted and decorated with a carved rosette. Finishes are hand applied by Italian artisans using the same simple tools and techniques employed by Florentine artists for centuries.
