Triptych clock in gilded and chiseled bronze. The clock has a large base decorated with leafy volutes and plant motifs finely worked with a burin, on which rests the clock case adorned with garlands of flowers closed with a ribbon. At the top a cup-shaped vase with floral composition. Enameled metal display with Roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral minutes protected by a lid with curved glass. The hands are in gilded bronze finely pierced. The mechanism is marked Japy Fils 1855. The pair of gilt and chiseled bronze five-flame candelabra measure a height of 55 centimeters. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
