A rare lp11 wall lamp, also known as the ‘pallone’, designed by the milanese architect luigi caccia dominioni in 1958 for azucena. The lamp is swivelling and height-adjustable. The wall lamp stands out for its linear and dynamic design, featuring a long brass arm and a spherical opal glass shade. Luigi caccia dominioniis one of the leading italian architects and urban planners after world war ii and one of the forerunners and founders of italian design, a brilliant interpreter of the milanese and lombard tradition.  he began his professional career immediately after graduating in 1936 from the milan polytechnic with the opening of a studio in porta nuova together with his brothers livio and piergiacomo castiglioni, devoting himself to interior architecture, design, industrial planning, competitions and installations. In particular, activity in the field of industrial design saw him "pioneer" at the vii milan triennale with a series of radio sets designed with the brothers in 1947, together with ignazio gardella and corrado corradi dell'acqua, he founded the italian brand azucena, which has always stood out for its collections that combine formal elegance, understated luxury, pure and sharp aesthetics, and very high craftsmanship.
