Rare Walnut pantry, Louis Philippe period, opening by a small door with brass hinges and a revolving knob. Its case is made of turned wooden columns, a design that favours the preservation of an element that is historically central to our diet: Bread. This Regional piece of furniture, frequently present in Breton or Provencial houses of the 19th century, is topped by a Cornice carved in Doucine. The bottom is openwork, made up of flat slats. This Panetière can rest on its four legs, cut out in front, straight at the back. However, two iron hooks also allow it to be hung on the wall, which was initially the preferred position to keep its contents out of reach of rodents. The imagination of the future purchaser of this Authentic piece of furniture will decide its next function, which could be rigorously original or radically diverted.
