Superb and large matching pair of cast gilt bronze sconces in the shape of knotted ribbons tied with tassels, each holding two slender candle arms with bobeches with beaded rim holding realistic waxed bulb holders. The hanging is covered up with floral rosettes. These neoclassical elements, typical of the Louis XVI style, refer to the Greek and Roman culture for inspiration. The amazing bronze casting is of the highest quality, a maginificent piece of work with sharp details and showing a pleasant natural golden patina. Pieces ar marked/stamped with numbers and marked WD, late 19th century. The weight is 1.6 kilo for one piece. There is also a matching 12 light chancelier available.
