A pair of Italian carved Neoclassical style candle sconces, the tops crested with gilded bow knotted ribbons holding carved drapery, within which are supported wheat husks, eagles, tassels and other classical carved and gilded ornament along with well executed decorative metalwork forming the scrolls and ears of wheat. Second half of the 20th century. Light wear, some chipping, attractively distressed painted and gilded surfaces, with sporadic losses to the finish giving a nice antique look. H: 44 W: 14 D: 11
