The Tiles Door Wall Sconce from Violaine D'Harcourt is built around a single hand-shaped ceramic tile, screen-printed in natural hues through a collaboration with Dutch designer Marianne Smink. The tiles are made in a small workshop in Coimbra, Portugal, and because the process is largely done by hand, each piece picks up its own subtle variations in texture and print. Light comes through indirectly, diffusing off the tile's surface in a way that feels unhurried and easy.
