A compact vintage industrial wall light, reclaimed from marine environments and professionally restored by Loomlight in the UK. Originally manufactured in Japan, these robust passage lights were engineered for shipboard use, designed to endure exposure to moisture, vibration, and demanding daily conditions.The fixture features a protective wire cage that threads securely over a tempered glass dome, enclosing and safeguarding the lampholder. Inside, we have fitted an SBC (B15) lamp holder which sits within a cast mild steel body, lending the piece its characteristic weight and utilitarian presence. Authentic industrial details remain intact, including original brass fixings and the purposeful, functional form typical of mid-to-late 20th century marine lighting.Traditionally installed along ship corridors and exterior passageways, these lights provided dependable, illumination in environments where durability was critical. Their compact proportions translate well to contemporary interiors, particularly when installed in sequence to create a rhythmic architectural effect.Suitable for both commercial and residential settings, they work well in hospitality spaces, retail environments, hallways, stairwells, or as understated bedside lighting.Each fixture has been fully stripped, cleaned, and reassembled in our Leicestershire workshop, with all electrical components upgraded to meet modern safety standards using CE-certified or UL-listed parts.Supplied ready for installation.
