This custom wingback chair from Pablo Sota Designs began as a North Carolina–crafted frame and has been completely rebuilt and reimagined as a one-of-a-kind studio piece using premium materials throughout. The interior was stripped and rebuilt for proper structure, comfort, and longevity. The exterior is upholstered in a carefully composed combination of textures: • Premium Brazilian champagne hair-on-hide (backrest, outside wings and back) • Italian espresso leather (arms, cushion, and integrated transitions) • Crocodile-embossed leather (inside wings, seat box and lower panels) The Brazilian champagne hide shifts subtly with light, creating movement and depth from every angle. The Italian espresso leather provides a rich, controlled contrast and grounds the composition. The crocodile embossing introduces structure and definition without overwhelming the form. Every seam was precision-aligned. Pattern placement was deliberate. An integrated espresso leather roll was constructed to create clean transitions between materials, allowing each texture to stand on its own while maintaining visual balance. The seat cushion is finished in matching Italian espresso leather, offering durability, comfort, and cohesion within the overall design.
