An impressive and substantial solid oak "buffet a deux corps" with Provincial charm from early 19th century France to offer copious storage in a dining room, living room, or for linens. This four door case antique is split into two bodies: a slightly wider lower body and a more narrow upper body. The upper is crowned with an impeccably carved cornice accented by canted corners that fit the silhouette. Two doors can be used to access the upper interior, they are both hung on barrel hinges and contain functional locks to secure an interior outfitted with two fixed shelves that run the width. Both the upper and lower bodies have exceptional carved panels that comprise the doors and large center stiles. The lower body has two separated interiors which are each equipped with a single fixed shelf. These too can be secured with their working locks. Four keys included.
