19th C. American Mahogany Rococo Revival Child's Chair With Tracery Back

Chairish

$395

It is very unusual to find such a fine example of American Rococo Revival tracery carving in a child's chair, but this little gem fills the bill. In need of new upholstery, it retains its original finish. Splayed back legs, turned front legs. Attributed to acclaimed furniture maker John Henry Belter who was a German- American cabinetmaker active in New York City. His shop "J.H. Belter and Co." was located during the years 1846-1852 at 372 Broadway.
