Neoclassical walnut chest of drawers with mahogany, maple, and walnut trim. The front features three tripartite drawers, with uprights at forty-five degrees, and slightly truncated pyramidal feet. The handles and escutcheons are in wrought and gilded bronze. The top features a posthumous Verde Alpi marble inlay. Fir interiors, drawer bottoms replaced. Sicily, early 19th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
