This fantastic one of a kind lamp was designed as part of the interior that Arthur Elrod created for the Johnson Publishing building in downtown Chicago. The entire lamp was custom fabricated to the specifications of the Elrod design team. They began with a cast and slump-formed glass sculpture. The base and lamp structure were fabricated to illuminate the glass sculpture from below/within as well as above. The amber glass sculpture has great presence by itself, but integrated into this lamp, it is displayed to its fullest effect.
