Beautifully signed both Degué (in flowery script, how exquisitely FRENCH) and "Compeigne" on the rim (where there are a few "flea bites" invisible from below, when it's hanging), this festival of geometry will enhance your environment whatever your decorating theme. And how about this: provide all the light you'll need to play Scrabble. Which is to say, use any size bulb you want, no problem (new wiring throughout); installed is a standard-based American socket capable of taking whatever wattage bulb you care to use. The exterior of the glass bowl is frosted; it is totally colorless glass otherwise. The metal apparatus (the tubes being of freshly brushed nickel-plated solid brass) is brand new, created by myself; the "star" canopy is one I've reproduced from the best one I ever dragged, kicking and screaming, out of La Belle France. It's solid bronze with a brushed nickel finish, with an antique patina to look fittingly antique (the bowl is from the 1920s). Dim it down at night for the ultimate in mood lighting, once the Scrabble game is completed (and you've won).
