A fabulous antique Qashqai rug, handwoven by the eponymous nomadic tribe circa 1910 with a 3 medallion design on a mid blue field and great secondary colours, particularly the unusual green medallions. Very finely woven. Size: 2.62m x 1.57m (8ft 7in x 5ft 2in) This rug is in good condition with moderate even wear, slightly heavier in places. Fringes and selvedges are original, very slight damage to bottom kilim fringe (see photos) but structurally secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
