A lovely vintage Afshar rug, handwoven circa 1940. The design features 5 geometrical medallions on a rich indigo field of stylised flowers and figures surrounded by an intimate terracotta border. Finely woven with soft, velvety wool and some funky secondary colours of pinks, greens and golds. Size: 2.92m x 2.03m (9ft 7in x 6ft 8in) This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
