This sculpture is a bronze depiction of the Eleven-Headed, Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara (known as Sahasrabhuja Ekadasamukha Avalokiteshvara), the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion. In East Asian traditions, this deity is revered as the thousand-armed form of Guanyin or Kwan-yin. Stacked vertically, these 11 heads symbolize his ability to look in all directions to witness the suffering of humanity and hear their cries. He also has Thousand Arms, Arranged in a radial, fan-like wheel (mandala) around the central figure, the arms represent his ultimate capacity to reach out and rescue all sentient beings simultaneously. Central Mudra: The primary hands are clasped at the chest in the Anjali Mudra (devotional prayer gesture), representing respect, harmony, and greeting.
