Fine 19th century Secretary desk, made of mahogany with Carrara marble top. The wood has been finished with a lustrous French polish. 1 dovetailed drawer and three drawers in the bottom with their finely bronze hardware detail, and a drop front leaf featuring a writing surface covered with a finely gilt embossed red leather top. The interior also offers 4 drawers. The piece has the original gilt bronze trim and hardware; the legs are capped with bronze feet toe caps.
