A rare 18th Century Italian walnut chest / credenza, Renaissance Period, neoclassical influenced, having two elaborately carved figural statue columns decorated with architectural elements, flanking two cabinet doors, opening to interior fitted with a single shelf, above a single drawer flanks original gilt bronze ormolu mounts and matched central pull. Oversized, functional and versatile, a magnificent piece of furniture. Beautiful, elegantly aged patina, rich walnut color and tones, warm hues. Provenance: From the Dallas, TX estate of T.
