Beautiful wedding petrin in solid walnut, carved and molded, decorated with attributes of music, flowers and foliage. This Provençal ornamental furniture, also called pastie, is originally a piece of furniture used to knead the bread dough. Having become a furnishings thereafter, this kneader is distinguished by the finesse of his ornaments. It is composed in two parts. The trapezoidal tank (known as a petrin part) consists of hoppers and opens by a cover with 3 well -joined plates without composite. This one has a throat molding in his periphery, hectic on the front. The facade part is noticed by its only board, without joint, carved with a component, molded with scrolls and decorated with flowers, foliage and musical instruments in the center. Inside, a large zinc tray protects the petrin is allows a diverse use of this small furniture: planter or storage unit. This upper part is based on a frame composed of 4 feet shot in the upper part and ending with a snail foot with carved acanthus sheet.
