The openwork stem features twisted and dynamic lines with a hammered surface, rising from a fluidly developed base that evokes plant or root-like forms. The treatment of the material emphasizes texture and movement, lending the piece a powerful sculptural presence. The truncated pyramidal shade, also made of copper, displays a rich polychrome patina in reddish, ochre, and green tones, the result of controlled oxidation processes that provide chromatic depth. When lit, it generates a warm and enveloping light that enhances its artistic character. Although unsigned, the piece exhibits clear stylistic affinities with the work of the French sculptor-designer Olivier Julia. A floor lamp in the same formal language, signed by the artist, is known, reinforcing this attribution.
