What’s the advantage of a slicer knife? A long, narrow blade that moves through meat and fish in smooth strokes, giving even slices instead of jagged cuts. The BE–Knife Slicer, from KNIndustrie’s collaboration with Coltelleria Berti, is forged from one piece of stainless steel with a frosted finish. The squared bolster offers a natural grip point, while the handle feels light but stable. At nearly 10 inches in length, the blade works best with a gentle draw—ideal for salmon, ham, or roasts. It’s slim enough to avoid tearing, long enough to carry a slice cleanly in one motion. The knife weighs about 9.8 oz (0.28 kg), giving it just enough heft to stay steady without slowing the cut. Handmade in Italy. Wash in warm water and dry with a towel; dishwasher safe, though handwashing is kinder to the edge.
