A magnificent rare gold-leafed offset lithograph, print, "The Prince Sayyid Niyaz Khan on the Terrace of a Palace" after 17th century Indian painting. In the lower part of the composition one reads in the print, in small letter signature or attribution, orai Bitchitr". Comes from a rare first limited edition art folio published by Les Editions du Chene in Paris, France in 1950. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a board of heavy paper. Numbered "IV" at the lower right corner of the board. Gold-leafed and very detailed. Superb quality, rich colors. Excellent condition - minor age wear on edges of the board, never framed. Image 7.30"W x 10.75"H - the same as the original artwork. The original 17th century portrait of "The Prince Sayyid Niyaz Khan on the Terrace of a Palace" is 7.5"W x 10.82"H, Collection J. Pozzi.
