Saito woodblock print from the 1960-1980s. It is called Pagoda or Pagoda at a Temple. It has the Kiyoshi seal but is not dated. This is the case of this woodcut. It was self carved and self published. It is a dai oban size with the image being approximately 10 by 15. When I purchased this woodblock it was in the simple wooden frame with wood back from Japan. I removed the print and had it re-framed with museum glass and acrid free matt and backing. Since I was at the framer, I took pictures in the shop so you can see the front and back outside the frame. The lighting at the framer distorted the color on the reverse of the print. It looks like it is toned significantly to the side, but that is not the case. It is a very nice example and is framed in a nice wood frame. I was very pleased to see it had held up nicely.
