We are selling this interesting Hudson River School style painting. This painting features a river or canal scene going through some rocky outcrops with a central canal boat. The painting is executed in oil on cardboard artist panel with a paper label on the back that reads “Pour Parvenir a Bonne Foi” probably for the Maker of the Artist’s panel. For some reason I get the feeling it is a Vermont or New Hampshire scene but not entirely sure why. Condition: Good antique condition. One damage to left side of painting near frame. Some warping to the cardboard. Dimensions: Height 15 Inches 38.2 cm Width 20 Inches 50.9 cm Depth 2 1/2 Inches 6.5 cm Sight Height 7 1/2 Inches 19.0 cm Sight Width 12 1/2 Inches 31.8 cm
