Thick textured wood frame. James J. Calahan - American etcher, 1841–1910 - Calahan produced original etchings of landscape subjects and prints based on famous paintings. Born in Newport, Rhode Island, Calahan exhibited at the New York Etching Club, the Salmagundi Club, and the Boston Art Club in the 1880s and early 1890s. He trained etcher Charles Mielatz.
