Japanese scroll of a seated Kannon, colored inks on silk mounted on a silk floral brocade of a reddish gold and salmon nakamawashi, with white and gold floral silk brocade futai, ichimonji and ichinonjimawashi, gold and white silk floral brocade ten and ji, white jikusaki. Signed with one red ink seal mark. A finely drawn Kannon with a mandorla seated on a rocky outcrop over a mountain waterfall, the water of life and her willow branch placed on her left. Traditional Japanese wood storage box included. Image size is 16 1/2" wide x 42 1/2" high. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
