"Half Hitched" This portrait of an Amish horse was painted as he was resting from a trip to town. The shadows on this sorrel horse and the harness as the sun was shining down on him made a great subject. The colorful summer background and dappled shadows on the ground are painted loosely to ensure the subject stands out. He stands relaxed and serene as he waits to bring his family home.
